Somerville Track PAC will be the major beneficiary of this event. Each year college scholarship money, travel money, & meals money is donated by the Somerville Track PAC to Somerville High School students. The Somerville Track PAC is made up of long time and new residents of Somerville, Massachusetts as well as city officials, coaches and friends

The Somerville High School football team is a beneficiary of this event. The team uses the money for training camp and equipment.

A RUNINNG EVENT SUPPORTING RUNNING AND SOMERVILLE YOUTH!!


The Somerville Auxiliary Police Department will also be a beneficiary of this event. The Somerville Auxiliary Police Department has been an important part of Somerville Road Running for YEARS..without this organization there would be few if any road races in Somerville and it's members not only volunteer for free but the entire department volunteers at the events for free.

A Policy of making a sizeable donation to the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department from funds received from Somerville Road Races was started a number of years ago at the 1st St. Paddy's race held in Somerville in 1998 and it will be continued in 2006 and by the same race director.

A RUNINNG EVENT SUPPORTING RUNNING AND THE CITY OF SOMERVILLE!!

In 2007, $6,000.00 was donated to the Somerville Track PAC, $1,500.00 to the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department, $1,000.00 to the Somerville YMCA "Learn to Swim Program, $1,000.00 to the Boston Triathlon Team, $1,000.00 to the Mystic Runners and $1,000.00 to the Somerville High School Football Team

In 2006, $6,000.00 was donated to the Somerville Track PAC, $1,500.00 to the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department and $1,000.00 to the Somerville High School Football Team

In 2005, $6000.00 was donated to the Somerville Track PAC and $1,500.00 to the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department

In 2004, $5000.00 was donated to the Somerville Track PAC and $1,000.00 to the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department

In 2003, $3,000.00 was donated to the Somerville Track PAC and $1,000.00 to the Somerville Auxiliary Police Department
